in 1933, los angeles city council district 1 covered sparsely populated san fernando valley , atwater section, los feliz area east of griffith park, east of vermont avenue , north of fountain avenue. wilson won first election 1st district seat in 1933 on incumbent, charles randall, 2-to-1 margin. reelected in 1935 , in 1937 , 1939 lost delamere francis mccloskey in 1941.
