2014–15

ghalenoei promised begin new project in esteghlal signing youth players esteghlal s academy , other teams, in 2003. @ end of season, sacked team due weak results , finishing season in 6th place.

iranian national team

iriff appointed ghalenoei head coach of iran national football team on july 17, 2006 succeed branko ivanković. after finishing first in qualifying round 2 points ahead of south korea , finishing first in group stage of final tournament in malaysia, iran lost south korea in penalty shoot-outs of quarters final match , eliminated 2007 asian cup. ghalenoei heavily criticized press. after period of discussion in iranian football federation, contract not renewed , national team left caretaker manager several months.

mes kerman

despite being in negotiations uzbek league champions fc pakhtakor tashkent on january 1, 2008, ghalenoei signed contract until end of 2007–08 season iran pro league side mes kerman. led club finish among top teams of second half-season, though @ bottom of table when accepted job.

2009–10

he signed sepahan in summer 2009. won persian gulf cup second time in row, failed qualify last 16 in afc champions league second time in row.

2010–11

ghalenoei renewed contract sepahan upcoming season, won league third time in row , second time sepahan. sepahan had excellent performance in afc champions league , qualified quarter final 5 wins in 7 matches. however, after left sepahan on june 4, 2011 due conflict new board director though had led club quarter finals of afc champions league best team of west asian division.

2011–12

on june 13, 2011, named new tractor sazi head coach. led team runners-up of 2011–12 season, 1 point behind of winner, former-side sepahan , qualified afc champions league first time in club history.

2015–16

on 9 december 2015, ghalenoei returned tractor sazi signing one-and-a half year contract.
