after being educated @ playing school football @ waverley college in sydney, rizzo arrived in england in 1996 joining english giants liverpool. although not capped in first team, 18 year old unused substitute on 6 occasions in premier league season 1997/98. lured crystal palace terry venables 2 seasons , featured in 35 league games before moving italian serie b side ternana in 2000. @ palace scored 3 times; once in league against norwich city , twice in league cup tie against colchester united (once in first leg , once in second leg).

he signed two-year contract perth glory on 19 may 2007, , made debut on 26 august 2007, coming on in 69th minute naum sekulovski in game against newcastle jets.


rizzo not offered new contract @ perth glory, , went on sign short-term deal central coast mariners play in afc champions league campaign. announced on 20 may 2009, nick rizzo s contract central coast mariners not re-signed. rizzo went on play apia leichhardt tigers until 2011.
