sally visits larry @ dvd shop , told has been documenting easter egg in seventeen apparently unrelated dvds. egg contains video clips of man calling himself doctor, having half of conversation viewer. larry gives sally list of dvds , leaves police station. there meets di billy shipton, explains there have been several disappearances @ wester drumlins , shows impound lot containing locked fake police box. sally leaves remembers yale key , returns find billy , phone box have disappeared. receives call older billy, on death bed @ hospital. visits him , explains after left lot, discovered angels trying retrieve police box. found himself in 1969, met doctor , asked relay message sally decades later. billy subsequently married , started video production house responsible putting easter egg on dvds. before billy dies tells sally doctor s message, instructs @ list. sally realises list own dvd collection , easter egg meant her.

sally , larry return house several of dvds , portable dvd player. larry starts playback of 1 of dvds, sally discovers can converse doctor in past, possesses copy of complete transcript being compiled larry listens. doctor explains , martha transported 1969 weeping angels. angels quantum locked , allowing them move unbelievably fast when unobserved, while turn near-indestructible stone when observed. gazing upon permanently lock them in form, angels otherwise cover eyes, creating weeping appearance. angels feed on potential time energy generated when transport victims past, , doctor fears seeking tardis vast reserves of time energy.

one year later, sally , larry have opened combined book , dvd store. sally insists on keeping folder of events, including larry s completed transcript, larry wants move on , indicates has feelings her. sally gently rebuffs him , larry steps out on errand. sally sees doctor , martha hurriedly leave taxi in front of shop , goes outside meet them. don t recognise , realises have yet experience events sent them past. hands doctor folder, warning him need in future. doctor , sally goodbye larry returns, surprised see man easter egg. sally , larry return shop hand in hand, hinting ready romantic relationship. episode ends repeat of doctor s don t blink warning sally, time directed @ viewer , overlaid flashes of famous statues.
