perak divided 12 administrative districts further divided local administrative municipal councils. following list of 12 administrative districts in terms of population.



it has been announced on 26 november 2015 perak have eleventh district, called muallim, includes sub-district of tanjung malim has split current batang padang district. has been officiated sultan nazrin, current sultan on 11 january 2016.


on 9 january 2017, sultan of perak sultan nazrin muizzuddin shah graced proclamation of bagan datuk 12th district of state. proclamation marked start of transformation district, 1 of biggest coconut producers in malaysia.
