the university of kansas school of architecture, design, , planning (sadp), main building being marvin hall, traces architectural roots creation of architectural engineering degree program in ku s school of engineering in 1912. bachelor of architecture degree added in 1920. in 1969, school of architecture , urban design (saud) formed 3 programs: architecture, architectural engineering, , urban planning. in 2001 architectural engineering merged civil , environmental engineering. design programs discontinued school of fine arts merged school in 2009 forming current school of architecture, design, , planning.


according journal designintelligence, annually publishes america s best architecture , design schools, school of architecture , urban design @ university of kansas named best in midwest , ranked 11th among undergraduate architecture programs in u.s in 2012.
