the leader of dark hand hails united kingdom. skillful criminal mastermind , martial arts expert able hold own against (and better of) jackie in personal confrontations.

valmont first conspires shendu acquire talismans (season 1.) serves front man shendu, meeting jackie in person. returns in season 2, again aiding shendu (this time involuntarily, since accidentally possessed shendu) free demon sorcerers. later makes other appearances on show, serving minor villain, since fortune , criminal empire crumbled after demon sorcerer incident , talisman hunt.

by season three, valmont homeless , poor , becomes interested in committing robberies rebuild dark hand, such unsuccessfully attempting take control of tohru rob rare jewel purpose. appears once in season 4 has lost everything. acquires oni mask, despite receiving 1 half of it. later, however, rips off own mind revolts against oni one; tosses aside box of diamonds inadvertently gets wrapped , shipped mexico instead.

valmont has brief non-speaking appearances in season five, including applying job drago s henchman (but turned down.) appears in final episode of show aboard bus j-team helps rescue falling off bridge, having taken job bus driver.

the enforcers

the enforcers act henchmen of valmont (and later directly serve shendu when possesses valmont s body) later serve several other villains such daolon wong, tarakudo , briefly, drago. consisted of ratso, finn , chow , later joined hak foo. 3 main enforcers more of nuisance threat , provide comic relief while hak foo acts muscle group. tohru member of enforcers, left on own accord. daolon wong transformed enforcers dark chi warriors replace ones defeated , captured chans, upon wong s defeat reverted humans. tarakudo later employed them , treated them more leniently shendu or daolon wong. drago briefly employed them , transformed them dragon minions, aware of previous failures, , when failed first task, (both literally , figuratively) fired enforcers , returned them human form, replacing them more competent ice gang later on. facing destruction of earth, of enforcers hired services out uncle , helped him recover shendu ruins of section 13 final confrontation drago.

when dark hand @ zenith in first season, before involvement shendu diminishes organization, several other officers participate main ones, , in large numbers when participating in dragon talisman raids on federal reserves , attempt capture jackie chan after retrieval of tiger talisman. these enforcers disappear after talisman hunt following raid on dark hand s main headquarters section 13.

a red spiky-haired, muscle-bound martial arts expect , shouts out metaphorical animal-related descriptions each time launches attacks (e.g. angry crow takes flight, when hak foo uses airborne attack,) , when performs mundane tasks (in 1 episode, utters mouse runs through maze while navigating through building, mouse takes cheese when retrieves pan ku box shortly after.) unusual practice makes fighting style rather easy predict. hak foo s techniques more , more violent series progresses (in season 2, uses buffalo tramples field mouse ; season 4, has evolved supernova incinerates field mouse. )

the demon sorcerers group of ancient demons once ruled earth in ancient times. according uncle in day of dragon, there have been thousands of demon sorcerers throughout history 8 of these appeared in series. imprisoned within dimension known netherworld 8 immortals of china. each demon represents classical element (e.g. fire, earth, water, wind, sky, mountain, moon, , thunder) , can assume more human form infiltration purposes. sealed in separate portals immortals using special immortalized items, although portals can re-opened using item called pan ku box, puzzle box containing maps portals locations. box, however, reopen each portal once: if demon sent through, portal sealed forever.

in second season of show, shendu, prominent of demons 1 of main antagonists in series, enlists dark hand , travel world open portals defeated each time chan family. shendu uses book of ages, book history magically written, alter reality demons still rule. however, chan family manage banish demons completely, although shendu escapes again later through hands of daolon wong.

being last dragon in existence, shendu has noble right dragon talisman power, , came in possession of twelve talisman powers. when lo pei performed spell imprisoned him in statue form, these powers stripped of him , each power turned talisman, each based on chinese zodiac. unless shendu revived statue form means of dragon teeth or unknown spell used uncle, become dependent on talismans, rat talisman sustain animated form , dog talisman immortality. presumably if revived statue form alternate means talismans, still require them achieve full potential , hence considerably inferior without them if not dependent on talismans.

a dark chi wizard (jade calls him anti-uncle because of this.) uncle s main rival in series. left eye grey, right eye blue, , has mouths on palms, uses extract chi. wong first appears when tohru mistaken legendary chosen one. using dark chi warriors, gan, rhen, , chui, attacks tohru, seeking destroy him , upset balance of chi in favor of evil. fails in first attempt, later returns use bad chi contained in idol of 3 wise monkeys, beaten again. in third season wong becomes main villain in show attempts steal talismans, after learning under protection of chans near end of second season.

after warriors captured inside lost urn of wei cheing, wong turns finn, ratso, , chow new warriors though incompetent , stupid. despite obtaining pig , rooster talisman powers (partially sheep talisman power,) wong highly unsuccessful, when turns hak foo fourth dark warrior zhen. later makes bargain shendu, restoring dragon life in exchange power of dragon talisman. however, shendu betrays him , takes of talisman powers. wong later ambushed uncle going challenge shendu, , loses powers 1 of uncle s spells. wong reveals uncle spell turns shendu stone in order revenge against shendu betrayal. spell told him same spell lo pei used turn shendu statue. wong later attempted escape prison summoning shadowkhan, feat had managed once before. however, instead released tarakudo. wong later escaped prison, , went after déjà vu stone. despite best efforts, lost stone, , last seen being dragged away past versions of enforcers.

dark chi warriors

wong employed 3 dark warriors known gan, ren, , chui. each had different weapon: ren had boomerang blade similar windmill shuriken (and materialized smoke effect,) chui had sledgehammer (who appears flame effect) , gan had bo staff/sa tjat koen (with pouring-in effect.) these warriors silent, , controlled weapons thoughts. after imprisoned in lost urn of wei cheng uncle, wong replaced them finn, ratso, , chow, respectively. these 3 retained predecessors powers, still managed prove incompetent. wong later made hak foo dark chi warrior called zhen, combined hak foo s traditional attack style powerful magic, , materialized lightning bolt effect. wong temporarily endowed them indestructible armor battle shendu, when uncle shattered wong s scepter, enforcers returned normal, , dark chi warriors ceased exist.

oni

tarakudo (miguel ferrer), monarch of shadowkhan , lord of oni. tarakudo large floating head in mid-air. tarakudo once terrorized earth, trusted 9 oni generals each had control on different tribe of shadowkhan. tarakudo s reign came end when spirits of generals trapped within 9 masks. years later, tarakudo accidentally awakened daolon wong, when trying himself out of prison. tarakudo sets out find generals, chans find masks, masks break , generals released. in final showdown, chans discover there s tenth mask. surprisingly, s tarakudo s, , tarakudo s true form revealed tiger humanoid body. after struggle j-team, jade fuses mask face, , , 9 generals along shadowkhan sucked mask. should noted tarakudo has wicked sense of humor, cracking wise in various situations.
ikazuki (maurice lamarche), tarakudo s second-in-command , 1 of 9 oni generals. named oni general. ikazuki oni general encountered j-team, since rat talisman used animate mask, intention being interrogate him. side effect of being animated, ikazuki s mask 1 function when worn somewhere except face.

shadowkhan

a group of shadow warriors formerly controlled shendu. in season 4, revealed shendu possessed power because of special oni mask; daolon wong controlled shadowkhan briefly through same mask. jade manages control them making tattoo face (notably tarakudo s) off cover of book; briefly possessed dark power , takes on section 13 before tohru manages remove tattoo. tarakudo, king of shadowkhan, later awakened , set out capture 9 oni masks control 9 different tribes of shadowkhan. chow later put on first oni mask , took temporary control before having removed jackie. season 4 revealed there 9 tribes of shadowkhan, each controlled oni general. when generals sealed within masks, host wears mask controls shadowkhan. every shadowkhan has same body, powers, , abilities of oni. tarakudo oni can not summon shadowkhan, despite being known king of shadowkahn ; hinted able summon types never gets chance before imprisoned in mask (along other oni generals , respective shadowkahn.)
