the blue specification debuted in 1980 vc commodore.


the blue motor development of earlier red engine, , incorporated several improvements. biggest of these changes complete redesign of cylinder head; 12 port design individual ports each cylinder. crankshaft 3.3-litre engine had counterweights on each throw, , stronger connecting rods used. two-barrel varajet carburettor standard, dual outlet exhaust manifold , bosch hei distributor. made in 3.3- , 2.85-litre versions.
