the state of florida granted school s charter on june 14, 1962. dr. witty elected president of college in 1970, position held until 1982, when retired become chancellor. in may 1993, dr. james flanagan became president of luther rice seminary. holds earned doctorate (ph.d.) southwestern baptist theological seminary.


in august 1991, college moved florida current location in metro atlanta, georgia.
