in 2003, sweetnam worked canadian producer , instrumentalist james robertson on later become noise basement, capitol records/emi debut. single billy s. appeared in july 2003 on soundtrack movie how deal , took off in canada. 2 more singles released debut album; fared moderately on charts. in 2004, sweetnam went on tour on europe , north america opening act britney spears on onyx hotel tour.

tim armstrong , sweetnam released single action in march 2007. sweetnam opening act canadian idol winner kalan porter on tour.

sweetnam began working on new music in 2009 , formed new band, sumo cyco, four-piece heavy metal , punk rock band opened hollywood undead in toronto in april 2011. sweetnam went name sever, current alter-ego.


as of july 2012, sumo cyco has released 6 singles: mercy , limp , interceptor , danger , loose cannon , , cover of oingo boingo s want be? . each new song, sumo cyco direct , put own music videos youtube channel which, of april 2012, has received on million views.


sweetnam s song (let s movin ) action used in episode of canadian teen drama degrassi: next generation, in 1 deleted scene bandslam, , in films balls out: gary tennis coach, hotel dogs, , 2010 american film ramona , beezus (starring joey king , selena gomez). included in soundtrack music degrassi: next generation.



on june 9, 2012, sweetnam posted video on youtube channel promised new material released.


in april , may 2014, sumo cyco toured ireland , uk after performances @ indie week ireland. then, on june 10, 2014, released debut album, lost in cyco city, in canada. band still in process of working out release dates in other countries, us, ireland, , uk.


on march 10, 2015, sumo cyco announced had signed tko (the kirby organization) booking agency, known representation of hard rock , metal acts, worldwide representation.
